I was listening to EMF on Spotify and the song below inspired me to write about self-belief and how I despise being shackled by the rules of those who interfere.
I’ve got a big mouth
An untamed tongue
No filters here
I often get in trouble
From those
Blinded by society’s tongue restraints
My eyes are exploratory
Looking here
Scampering off there
But again I’m in trouble
From those
Imprisoned by imagined boundaries
I’ll do it myself
I’m walking again
Talking again
Even though body’s failing
My six senses keep me
Alive and well
And if determination causes trouble?
Two words at the imposed!
I deserve
Much more than this

My pleasure always 💜 EMF were a fantastic band. ‘You’re Unbelievable” is a bit of an anthem! James Atkin still performs but think he’s a primary school teacher now, how sweet 🥰

I did hear that one of the founding members of The Shamen became a guidance teacher at a high school near me back in the day, but that could have just been a rumour 😉🖤
