A school maniac
In a comic print anorak
Burst a blood vessel
And didn’t flinch a freckle
She lost half her movement
Much to oblivious amusement
Stapled scalp
Staples out
Funky red wheelchair
Doing skids for a dare
Upright at last
So kiss my ass!
Zimmer frame then a walking stick
Felt fantastic but looked a prick
So she thought
Leaving her mother distraught
But come on now laugh
Even take a photograph
Document your days
Frame each gold star phase
You’ve all been through shit
And think you’re going to lose it
Just write a poem
A nonsense verse
And celebrate
YOU’VE DONE IT!
