This fun piece was inspired after listening to “The Phony King Of England” from Walt Disney’s 1973 film Robin Hood. About how very wrong people can be about you!
You label me a…
Gibbering gabbing
Fist clenching
Nose picking
Eaves dropping
Nail biting
Teeth grinding
Ball scratching
Sheep shagging
Horse ridin’
Loud fartin’
Name dropping
Filthy lying
Moral preaching
Daydreaming
Nose thumbing
Phlegm spitting
Pimple squeezing
Groin clutching
Wart picking
Gum biting
Head butting
Rash scratching
Hip swivellin’
Finger snapping
Bullshit artist
But actually I am who I am
And who I am is at peace
With life and all it’s strife

Wonderful poem and I love that it ends with you explaining that you’re at peace. Others will always try and pigeon-hole us (see what I did there) and, like the title art says, we have to prove them wrong. This really resonated with me Mouse. And tickled me in equal measure.

Haha!!! I feel like Alan the rooster doing his Whistle Stop song, also from Robin Hood. So pleased you liked this cheeky one which is far from negative, it shows a journey and one which can quite easily be overcome – just add a bit of Disney dust!
