This beautiful song from the video game Silent Hill 3 always gets me pondering. Particularly this verse below. How my past self worked hard emotionally and psychologically to understand myself yet I still fail to on a regular basis. Even ten years on? Absolutely! Do we ever truly understand ourselves? Tripped up by obstacles and fucked up by unforeseen circumstances. Life’s tests that catch you out and boot you in the teeth back to where you started. And so on. Whatever the case may be, please don’t lose hope. (Song below).
Hey there to my future self
If you forget how to smile
I have this to tell you
Remember it once in a while
Ten years ago your past self
Prayed for your happiness
Please don’t lose hope

Final Fantasy tracks ruin me but in a good way. Have a closer listen π My husband thinks it’s crap but I ask him to just listen πΆ
