I was just about to explain away

Something I do each crazy day

Two paragraphs I wrote

On the ear of a lop eared goat

She’d lent me an ear

Which I typically took literally

Tell me my dear, why tell so much?

More than is asked

More than is necessary

Forgive me dear goat

No need, she bleated

Trust in yourself

Believe your own truth

Learn to stop dead

Once the facts are given

No more paragraphs on my ears

Just your smile as you head elsewhere
