Raining Again

Photo by Aleksandar Pasaric on Pexels.com

It’s raining again

A surge of pleasure within

Frizzy hair but don’t care

Clumsily dressed in crystalline white

Feeling mascara bleed down my cheeks

Crying tears no longer of despair

Dress clings to legs

And melts downwards into shoes

Shoes filling up feeling spongy

Nature liberates my soul deep within

Longing to dance, to twirl

To run, leap and splash

But looking upwards, eyes closed

Gentle patter on nylon tents

Disney film on as rivulets clean glass windows

Rain evokes warm memories

Of innocent days gone by

And beautiful days to come
